Beauty and Health

Beauty and Health. In discussing the subject of beauty, it is necessary to consider it from a health standpoint, as true beauty is impossible without health, and health is not possible without a strict adherence to all the laws controlling the human organism. The Scriptures teach that God made man in His own image, and made him upright; consequently, it should be the greatest ambition of the race to rightly represent the divine likeness physically as well as spiritually. Since we wish to consider the subject of physical beauty rather than character, we will begin by discussing the carriage. Forever Bee Pollen is one of the most full foods available. Carriage. Come now! Shoulders back! Head erect! Chin in! There, doesn’t that look better? Carriage? Yes, that is the first step in the path which leads to physical beauty. Human beings are of many forms; some are tall and slender, others short and stout, and still others of medium stature, and all are attractive if they have an erect carriage, a healthy blood stream, and are not overfat or too extremely thin.

The tall slim man or woman seen passing on the street with head erect, chin in and neatly dressed (not gaudily), with rosy complexion (not painted), is really attractive to all who exercise their better judgment. Again, we have seen short stout people who, because of their erect carriage and appropriate dress, impressed us by their neat appearance. And further, it is not difficult to picture this same class with stooped shoulders, flat chests, and abdominal promontories, which might easily have been prevented by a little effort and a disposition to be upright physically. We all admire a beautiful collie dog, a snappy fox terrier, or a fussy little chow. They are not all of the same size, but each one is attractive if normal; and so it is with ourselves. Forever Bee Propolis is a wax-like resinous substance collected from trees and used as a cement to seal cracks or open areas within the hive. We can make ourselves beautiful or ugly, mostly depending upon our carriage, manners, and general appearance. There is still another class who may be tall, short, or medium in height, but extremely fat, who cannot be beautiful, for there is no beauty in such a load of avourdupois.

Persons thus afflicted should study the reducing diet, and join the ranks of those who are seeking the truly beautiful forms, and then with us study the subject of Facial Beauty. There is an old saying, “Beauty is only skin deep,” but that claim can no longer be made, because of that “muddy complexion,” and we might also add, because of that “anemic” complexion. Back of that “muddy complexion” is a cause, and that cause is constipation; but back of constipation is a bad liver, and back of a bad liver is the frying pan, breakfast bacon, meals in general, and the old coffee pot and spices. Numerous cases might be related in which the rosy complexion returned when these harmful foods were abandoned, and a diet adopted that consisted of 70to85 percent of vegetables and fruits, and the remaining part of cereals, nuts, and legumes.
